Youth
Once a month during the school year, we as a church gather money for milk at Marysville Elementary School. One of our members is a teacher at Marysville Elementary and saw a need. The Evangelical United Church of Christ congregational members recognized that need and surpassed it with flying colors.
First Fridays
Join members of our church on the First Friday of every month at 10:00 am in fellowship time in our Fellowship Hall. Coffee and cookies are provided!
Sacred Arts Series
We are proud to have several talented musicians in our area. Please join us monthly for our Sacred Arts Series, in which we enjoy a few songs to enhance our worship to God.
Recycling
At the Evangelical United Church of Christ, we believe community service is a part of our mission. Therefore, members of our congregation organize the recycling collection on the second Saturday of the month for Marshall County. We ask for help from other organizations in the county; please call 785-562-3668 if your group would like to help for a month. Come help us recycle, or bring items to Lakeside for us to gather!
Food Pantry
Our church members help out at the Marshall County Food Pantry to distribute food during the month of December. We are proud to support our community!
OUR MINISTRIES
As members of the Evangelical United Church of Christ, ministries in our town and surrounding areas are very important to us. Take a look at some of the things the church is doing for the community!
EUCC Choir
The choir welcomes new voices to share and celebrate the Good Word for special occasions and church services. Rehearsals for choir are on Wednesdays at 7:15 pm, August through May. We are proud to have Maybelle Circle as our director since 1972. All musical abilities are encouraged to join!
EUCC Bell Choir
Bell Choir started in 2008, and features a 3-octave set of Malmark bells. Even if you're not a member, we'd love to have you join this 13-person ensemble.
Elders / Seniors
Pastor Julie visits homebound congregation members. Please call 785-562-3668 to be added to the list.
We have an auditory system in church used for amplifying the service. Please ask Adam Yungeberg or Don Richardson to use these devices!
Children's Sunday School
Our children's Sunday School for second grade and younger meets during church. After children's time during the service, our helpers take the children downstairs until the end of the sermon on the first Sundays of the month.
Adult Sunday School
Join our Adult Bible class led by Jack Ulmer at 9:00 am Sunday morning. Some of the themes the class will be discussing are: a new time is happening; the gift of the Holy Spirit; encountering people who are not of our culture or race; roles of women in the church; relationships between Christians and civil authorities; use of wealth and possessions; and excitement and adventure of being followers of Jesus. A study book will be provided for each participant!
After School Youth Time
On the first Wednesday of the month, third graders and above are encouraged to join us at church for a hour-long gathering. We can't wait to start this new program!
